Condiciones para la recolección de muestras de orina Parcial de orina y/o Urocultivo: Se recomienda la primera orina de la mañana Utilizar un frasco recolector de orina suministrado por el laboratorio o adquirido en la farmacia. En lactantes y niños menores que no controlan la micción, se utiliza la bolsa pediátrica de recolección de orina, (no es necesario trasvasarla a un recipiente plástico). Mientras se obtiene la muestra se debe cambiar la bolsa cada 30 minutos para evitar contaminación. Efectúe aseo genital completo con abundante agua y jabón antes de recolectar la muestra, descartar la primera parte de la micción y tomar la muestra suficiente de la parte media de la micción. En caso de no recoger la primera orina de la mañana, debe hacer retención de orina de dos a cuatro horas antes de recolectar la próxima muestra. No realizar actividades que requieran esfuerzo físico la noche anterior (relaciones sexuales, ejercicio, etc.). No recoger la muestra durante el período menstrual. Una vez recolectada la muestra, se cuenta con dos horas para entregarla en el laboratorio clínico. Recolección de orina de 24 horas: Utilizar un recipiente de plástico desechable con tapa, limpio y con una capacidad aproximada de tres a cinco litros (se pueden utilizar los recipientes de agua envasada). Si el volumen de orina recolectado durante las 24 horas es mayor, se debe continuar la recolección en otro recipiente de las mismas características. El día que comience la recolección, debe vaciar la vejiga al levantarse (idealmente 6:00 a.m.), es decir, esta orina no se incluye en el examen. A partir de ese momento recoger todas las micciones que presente en las próximas 24 horas (mañana, tarde y noche), terminando la última recolección idealmente a las 6 AM o a la misma hora que comenzó el día anterior. Es importante recoger todo el volumen de orina durante las 24 horas, sin descartar ninguna micción. Mantenga la orina en un lugar fresco o de ser posible, refrigérela durante el período de recolección. La ingesta de líquidos debe ser la acostumbrada, no consumir bebidas alcohólicas ni realizar ejercicio durante el día de la recolección de orina. Después de terminada la recolección, entregue en el laboratorio la muestra identificada con su nombre en el menor tiempo posible. Cultivo para Micobacterias en Orina: Recolectar completa la primera micción de la mañana, (se pueden utilizar los recipientes de agua envasada). Hospital de Soacha, un monumento a la generosidad… El Hospital Mario Gaitán Yanguas de Soacha se puede considerar un monumento a la generosidad y a la bondad de muchas personas. Una mañana del mes de abril de 1941, un hacendado de reconocido renombre Honorato Espinoza, decidió hacer una donación de un lote grande en Soacha, para que allí se construyera un hospital en el que se atendiera a su población. Los encargados de ejecutar la obra decidieron que se llamaría Hospital Santa Helena. La historia del municipio dice que en aquella época el párroco de la localidad, sacerdote Manuel Vicente Rojas, también compró otro terreno para construir el hospital, pero su ubicación estaba más distante que el lote que regaló don Honorato Espinoza y por eso se desechó. Sin embargo, años más tarde esa propiedad se convertiría en lo que hoy es el Polideportivo de Soacha. Con el liderazgo del sacerdote Manuel Vicente Rojas y la generosidad de la comunidad, mediante bazares, verbenas populares, rifas y donaciones, apoyados por las autoridades municipales se recogió el dinero para iniciar la obra de construcción del hospital. Luego, personalidades nacionales de esa época, como era el doctor Carlos Lleras Restrepo, Abel Casablanca, Janori Gómez, Enrique Vargas Muña, entre otros, se sumaron a la idea de buscar la construcción de hospital regional en Soacha. Sin poder ver realizado su sueño, en 1960 muere el sacerdote Manuel Vicente Rojas, en medio del reconocimiento general. En 1963, se reanudan las obras y el comité encargado de avanzar en la idea, con apoyo de la comunidad, decide que el hospital debe llevar el nombre de su gran impulsor, el reverendo Manuel Vicente Rojas. Ya en 1973, después de muchos esfuerzos de la ciudadanía, se logró inaugurar la primera planta del hospital, con un cupo de 10 camas para pacientes y una pequeña instalación para los médicos. Antes de terminar la construcción del hospital, en una casa de alquiler funcionaba un puesto de salud, atendido por el medico Paulo Rivera, y otros galenos como Jacobo y Eduardo Bolaños Tovar, quienes fueron pioneros de los servicios médicos en la localidad. En 1983, la Asamblea Departamental de Cundinamarca, dictó la ordenanza número 12 del 5 de diciembre, para darle vida jurídica a la entidad promovida por la comunidad. Inexplicablemente, en los años 1982 y 1983, se decidió cambiar el nombre del hospital de Soacha, Manuel Vicente Rojas, por el del médico Mario Gaitán Yanguas, reconocido médico que fue director del Instituto Nacional de Cancerología en 1958, luego de ejercer como Jefe de Radioterapia durante 10 años. El nuevo nombre del centro hospitalario fue ratificado en 1984 mediante resolución del Servicio seccional de salud de Cundinamarca. - En 1986, mediante ordenanza de la Asamblea de Cundinamarca, el Hospital se convierte en Empresa Social del Estado “Mario Gaitán Yanguas”, como se le conoce hoy, después de muchos años de esfuerzos colectivos y de prestar servicios generosos.
